Pain au Levain Bread

Classic sourdough bread made with 100% freshly milled whole wheat flour, water, levain and salt.

Baked in the wood-fired oven, this bread is rich in flavor and nutrition. These loaves are large and will take a few days to go through. To reheat, moisten the crust with water and reheat in a hot oven to get that "just baked" texture.

Also great for french toast, french onion soup, and perfect for toast.

SEYLOU offers a unique experience, starting with the farmers and leading to the seeds, which are milled on-site and baked into 100% whole grain breads in a wood-fired oven. These breads feature wheat and other grains from our very own Next Step Produce. Other PA organic farms supply additional wheat, einkorn, and necessary ingredients for the breads. These breads are made with a "levain" or natural sourdough started. They are then baked in Jonathan's wood fired oven. The breads and pastries are a real treat with the underlying, foundational commitment to local sourcing, ethical jobs, and environmental stewardship.

Gluten free options are available in both bread (bird bread) and pastries.
